Toronto, March 4, 2008 – The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) has been named a Bronze award winner for excellence in communications by the 2008 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program. Sponsored by the Washington based Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts to increase public awareness of foundation and corporate giving programs. OTF received the award for its website. The award will be presented in Washington on Monday, May 5, 2008.
“We are delighted that our website is being recognized by the prestigious Council on Foundations,” says L. Robin Cardozo, OTF Chair. “We are pleased to know that our efforts to continuously improve the Foundation’s website are being rewarded as we strive to meet the information needs of our stakeholders.”
This is OTF’s fourth win in the website category. The Foundation has received one bronze and two gold awards since 2000.
Entries to the awards program included annual or biennial reports, magazines/periodicals, special reports, public information campaigns and websites. This year, 213 entries were submitted to the awards program.
