Creating a place where ability outweighs disability

I CAN Therapeutic Equestrian Riding Association among the five Ontario Trillium Foundation Recognition Awards Honourable Mentions

Creating a place where ability outweighs disability

Niagara Region’s I CAN Therapeutic Equestrian Riding Association was one of five organizations recognized with honourable mentions September 26, in a special community event honouring some of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s greatest grants.

Stressing innovation, impact and partnership, the ‘Great Grants - Great Results’ Awards recognized ten grantee organizations overall who lead by example for their significant and measurable impact on improving Ontario communities.

The I CAN Therapeutic Equestrian Riding Association of Niagara provides the region’s only ‘complete’ setting where people with or without special needs can experience a farm atmosphere, animals, games, crafts and the environment. The centre fosters inclusion, independence and dignity in a safe and accessible environment where people with disabilities can open the door to their potential.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
