Almaguin Nippissing Travel Association Incorporated
$32,000 over one year to develop a web-based electronic map and upgrade telephone and computer systems. This will help attract more visitors to the area.

Corporation of the Township of East Ferris
$47,600 over six months to purchase and install playground equipment in Corbeil Park, encouraging healthy outdoor activity for families in East Ferris.

Eagle Lake Conservation Association
$11,800 over one year to develop and distribute lake maps and community-plan resource guides to Eagle Lake residents to improve efforts to protect the lake's ecosystem.

The Friends...Supporting Those with Long Term Health Care Needs
$16,500 over one year to produce a nutrition guide and deliver cooking workshops in Parry Sound and Muskoka. This will increase awareness of healthy meal preparation among people with disabilities, caregivers, single parents and seniors living alone.

Lake of Bays Marine Museum and Navigation Society
$62,000 over one year to renovate the Society’s museum, making it safer and more accessible. These renovations will enable the museum to remain a key local tourist attraction and destination.

Lake of Bays Sailing Club Inc.
$21,700 over one year to help purchase five new sail boats so that the club can more safely and better accommodate a growing number of young participants of all abilities in its sail club programs.

Macaulay Tree House Day Nursery
$11,300 over one year for this Bracebridge and Port Sydney organization to purchase new office and computer equipment. This will support the delivery of daycare and after-school programs by providing better access to children’s files.

Mahingan Development Corporation
$15,000 over one year to purchase teepees. These will serve as traditional Algonquin dwelling for youth participating in the annual Paddlefest celebrations held in June on the Ottawa River near Thorne.

Muskoka Planning Council for Children c/o Family Youth and Children's Services of Muskoka
$31,000 over one year to improve basic services, programs and supports for children, youth and families in Muskoka, by enhancing collaboration among service delivery agencies through workshops, data sharing and protocol development.

Muskoka-Parry Sound Community Mental Health Service
$44,500 over one year to develop a strategic plan that will identify ways to increase counselling services for people with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Nipissing First Nation
$31,300 over eight months to purchase a fisheries research watercraft. This will support the day-to-day activities of the organization's newly established Fisheries Department in managing and sustaining the Lake Nipissing walleye fishery.

Parry Sound Area Community Business & Development Centre Inc.
$20,100 over one year to develop a website and deliver a series of workshops that support the mandate of the Georgian Bay Women's Network. The network enhances business development skills and marketing opportunities for local female entrepreneurs.

Patrick 4 Life AIDS Awareness and Education
$62,600 over six months to create and deliver an HIV/AIDS curriculum and fitness program. It will help educate elementary and secondary school students in the North Bay area about HIV/AIDS and encourage them to make positive lifestyle choices.

Powassan and Area Historical Society c/o Municipality of Powassan
$28,200 over one year to repair the veranda and summer kitchen at the historic Clark House Museum so it can continue to be a key local tourist attraction.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 254
$43,000 over one year for renovations to the hall in Mattawa so the organization can continue providing a safe and accessible community facility.

Sports Heritage and Arts Performance in Education c/o Town of Parry Sound
$39,600 over 15 months to develop and deliver this program at the Stockey Centre, which will help increase knowledge of sports and the arts among families and elementary school students in the community.

Temagami Angele Project Committee c/o North Bay Theatre and Arts Community Centre
$39,700 over eight months to prepare and present a multi-media exhibition and educational living-history program in Temagami. The initiative focuses on Angele Egwuna, Grey Owl and his descendants, and showcases local and First Nations artists.

Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club
$75,000 over one year to purchase trail maintenance equipment to enhance the quality of Nordic skiing and the use of recreational trails by club members, school children and the public.

Town of Mattawa/Mattawa Voyageur Days Team c/o Corporation of the Town of Mattawa
$70,000 over six months to produce a marketing package and purchase equipment that will be used to attract and entertain visitors to Mattawa Voyageur Days 2007 and then made available  to other local community groups.

Tri-Town Ski Village
$38,700 over one year to purchase ski and snowboarding equipment, repair lift towers and train instructors so the club can continue to offer safe ski programs to local residents and visitors in the New Liskeard area.

White Water Gallery
$7,600 over one year to upgrade current technology and purchase new presentation equipment. By doing so, this North Bay gallery can continue to promote and offer contemporary, professional and innovative art exhibitions to the local community.

Windermere Women's Institute c/o Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario
$22,700 over three years to create a community archive room, a heritage database and website and to expand the public’s accessibility to valuable heritage information.

Armour Ryerson & Burk's Falls 'Our Community Works' c/o The Village of Burk's Falls
$30,000 over 18 months to help repair the roof at the Armour Ryerson and Burk’s Falls Arena and Community Centre so that it can continue to be a safe facility for people of all ages and abilities to engage in sports, recreation and social activities.

Association canadienne-française de l'Ontario, région Témiskaming
$34,800 over one year to research and publish a document highlighting the organization and its Francophone community's rich culture and history. The publication will be launched during the organization’s 35 year anniversary celebration in 2007.

Community Living Parry Sound
$46,100 over one year to increase knowledge of developmental disabilities among service delivery agencies and develop a shared resource system to help people with developmental disabilities gain better access to community programs and services.

Compagnons des francs loisirs
$31,100 over seven months to hold a series of consultation meetings with the Francophone community in the Nipissing area in order to engage their participation in helping set the Compagnons' organizational direction over the next five years.

The Corporation of the Municipality of West Nipissing
$24,500 over six months to furnish the library auditorium with tables, chairs and audio visual equipment in order to expand its use as a meeting space for community groups and agencies in the community of West Nipissing.

The Corporation of the Town of Cobalt
$4,400 over six months to improve lighting and automate the lending system at the Cobalt library, resulting in a more efficient community space offering a variety of lending options to all local citizens.

Discovery Routes Trails Organization
$27,300 over 14 months to co-ordinate and engage regional stakeholder involvement in building a stronger multi-use-trails network in the Near North region.

Gurd & Area Historical Corporation
$41,800 over nine months to repair the roof, replace doors and embellish landscaping at the Commanda Heritage Centre so that it can continue to be a key local tourist attraction and destination.

Huntsville Association for the Performing Arts
$15,500 over one year to improve site lines at the performance venue, maintain the grand piano and market the organization in order to maintain its current membership base and increase youth's exposure to and attendance at chamber music performances.

KwisKwa Ratepayers Association
$40,500 over eight months for safe playground and picnic area equipment for the association’s community park near Callendar, encouraging residents’ and visitors’ participation in healthy outdoor activity and community gatherings.

The North Bay Literacy Council
$25,300 over one year to create awareness of local literacy skill levels in the health sector and the effects that these can have on health. Issues will be identified and a working partnership established with the sector to develop solutions.

North Bay Nordic Ski Club
$9,000 over six months to purchase new snow-grooming equipment in order to improve and maintain trail conditions for the club's 800 members and the community at large.

North Bay Ski Racing Club c/o Ontario Alpine Ski Team
$25,000 over one year to develop an equipment inventory that will allow the club to continue growing and offer its members, staff and volunteers the quality tools necessary to support their participation in alpine skiing.

South Muskoka Sailing Club
$24,000 over one year toward the cost of improving docking and ramp facilities, the instruction and play area and to purchase five new sail boats so that the club can accommodate a growing number of participants in its sail programs.

String Ensemble Project c/o The Temiskaming Festival of Music
$24,600 over three years to enhance the musical ability of the string ensemble volunteer members, increasing community awareness of and participation in each of the collaborative members' activities.

Sundridge Strong Joly (SSJ) Arena, Hall & Ballfield c/o Corporation of the Township of Strong
$43,900 over one year to make the arena an accessible and enjoyable venue for people of all abilities by creating barrier-free access to washroom facilities and adding a shower and change area to the referee room.

West Muskoka Ringette Association c/o Ontario Ringette Association
$26,200 over one year to purchase program equipment and services, as well as provide board training and development resources that will allow this small rural organization to expand its membership and involve more youth in ringette.

$74,800 over six months to purchase and install a comprehensive lighting and sound system that will contribute positively to the delivery of community-based arts and music performances held at the René M. Caisse Memorial Theatre.

Corporation of the Township of James
$23,600 over one year to purchase and install modern playground equipment at Alice's Wonderland playground, improving safety and encouraging healthy outdoor activity for families in the Township of James.

Englehart Nordic Ski Club Inc.
$30,000 over one year to purchase trail maintenance equipment and enhance the quality of cross-country skiing and recreational trails.

Huntsville Rotary Youthpark c/o Rotary Club of Huntsville, Ontario, Canada Incorporated
$31,200 over one year towards the creation of a state-of-the-art skateboard park at McCulley Robertson Park in Huntsville.

Near North Heritage Group c/o Gurd & Area Historical Corporation
$40,000 over 14 months to build the membership's capacity to attract, recruit and train volunteers, develop joint marketing initiatives and increase visits to the Clark House Museum, Commanda Heritage Centre and Nipissing Township Museum.

North Bay & District Association for Community Living
$11,800 over six months to develop a strategic plan and business case for consolidating the organization’s corporate and divisional operations.

North Bay and Area Community Foundation
$33,200 over one year to help establish an office necessary for the day-to-day operations of the organization. This will improve its capacity to carry out its fundraising mandate and support not-for-profit organizations in and around North Bay.

North Bay Canoe Club
$22,800 over 14 months to purchase two dragon boats, paddles and personal flotation devices. Club programs will be introduced for persons with disabilities and overall local participation in dragon boat programs and festivals will increase.

North Bay Guild of Artisans
$63,200 over 16 months to support and strengthen Art on Main, a local arts-promotion organization, through a variety of marketing initiatives aimed at attracting new members and showcasing local artisan talent and work.

Packsac Smiles Organization
$5,800 over one year to design and distribute promotional and administrative tools in order to create awareness of the organization's mandate and increase its capacity to provide school supplies and clothing to elementary students in need in the North Bay area.
