Alzheimer Society of Haldimand-Norfolk
$20,000 over one year to support the development of a strategic funding plan in order to continue to serve people with Alzheimer disease and their families in Haldimand and Norfolk.

Alzheimer Society of Haldimand-Norfolk
$68,500 over two years to implement a funding development plan to increase and improve the programs and services provided for caregivers and people suffering from dementia in the community.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters Association of Haldimand-Norfolk Inc.
$51,600 over two years to provide a mentoring program with caring adults for children in Haldimand who may be experiencing low self-esteem or other problems.

Big Brothers of Brantford and District
$60,100 over two years to support the implementation of a plan to systematically increase corporate partnership and volunteer opportunities.

Blackheath Binbrook Lions Club
$33,400 over six months to install a new water tank and accessible washrooms in the club’s hall in Blackheath. This will provide people using the hall with safe drinking water and a more accessible facility.

Brant Alcove Rehabilitation Services
$37,200 over one year to toward a supportive residence for children in Jarvis, which enables children needing residential supports to remain in the community.

Brantford School of Instrumental Music
$25,000 to make the affordable music instruction provided at the band hall in Brantford accessible to adults and youth with disabilities.

Brantford Vocational Training Association
$55,300 over two years to develop peer support programs, facilitate leadership and improve the quality of life for clients of the mental health system.

Brantwood Residential Development Centre
$72,900 over two years to develop community connections for high needs adults with disabilities in Brantford, enhancing their quality of life and reducing their vulnerability to abuse.

Burford Ball Leagues c/o The Burford Lions Club
$23,200 over one year for lighting for the Burford Community Centre Ball Park’s diamond “B”, increasing community access to the diamond through extended hours of play.

Caledonia Corvair Hockey Club
$10,000 over six months to purchase safety equipment for players on this Junior C Hockey team in Caledonia.

Canada's First Forestry Station St Williams Interpretive Centre c/o Port Rowan/South Walsingham Heritage Association
$57,100 over one year to develop an interpretive centre in St. Williams that will preserve and showcase the human and natural history of Canada's first forestry station.

Canadian Mental Health Association, Brant County Branch
$15,200 over six months to assist volunteer board members in developing a strategic plan that will allow the agency located in Brantford to respond to increasing demands for service and a rapid growth in programs.

Capacity Building for the Haldimand-Norfolk Resource Centre c/o Adult Mental Health Services of Haldimand-Norfolk
$62,500 over two years for operational support that will enable the organization to provide job readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals who have serious and persistent mental health issues.

Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand & Norfolk c/o Haldimand-Norfolk Resource Education and Counselling Help
$24,300 over one year to provide skill-building opportunities and to support volunteers delivering children's nutrition programs throughout Haldimand and Norfolk.

Cottonwood Mansion Preservation Foundation
$18,000 over six months to develop a comprehensive business plan to attract more visitors to Cottonwood Mansion and establish a more sustainable funding base for this important Haldimand heritage tourism site.

Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre
$75,000 over six months to renovate a home for the establishment of a Learning Centre for young adults with intellectual disabilities.

Dalhousie Place, Brantford & District Supervised Access Centre
$48,000 over two years to increase supportive services for children experiencing high conflict separation and divorce.

$102,200 over two years to enable the centre to develop and offer health programs to aboriginal people in Grand River that will improve self-esteem and foster trusting relationships.

Delhi Dynamics Synchronized Skating Club c/o Delhi Rotary Club – Charity
$6,000 over six months to enhance the training and public information capacity of Norfolk County’s only junior level synchronized skating team by supporting coaching, off-ice choreography and web page development.

Dunnville Boat Club
$20,000 to provide residents and visitors with improved boating access to the Grand River by repairing a popular community boat ramp in Dunnville.

Dunnville Hunters & Anglers
$23,400 over one year to upgrade a well-used community property and to re-establish a rifle range in Dunnville providing a safe venue for this recreational activity.

Dunnville Lawn Bowling Club
$5,100 over two months to increase security and improve the greens by replacing the present property fencing and installing an automatic sprinkling system.

Grand Erie District Junior Achievement
$30,000 over one year to establish sustainable Junior Achievement programs for the Grand Erie District which teach students about personal economics and entrepreneurship.

Grand River Fisheries Management Plan Implementation Coordinator c/o Ontario Wildlife Foundation
$33,000 over two years to assist volunteers in implementing selected 'best bets' for habitat improvement and fisheries management in the Grand River.

Grand River Gymmies Inc.
$13,700 to replace flooring which will make the facility safer and create more space for new gymnastic programs for Caledonia and area residents.

Haldimand Art Works
$18,000 over one year to support the operations of this Cayuga based community organization which hosts arts and fine craft exhibitions and classes throughout Haldimand County.

Haldimand County Lions Club Collaborative c/o Hagersville District Lions Club Incorporated
$16,200 over three months to purchase a full-size accessible van for the use of Senior Support Services in Haldimand County.

Haldimand Youth Soccer Club Inc.
$10,500 to purchase a heavy-duty riding mower, leverage the volunteer hours required to maintain the Cayuga soccer park and reduce operating costs.

Hamilton AIDS Network
$9,700 over three years to enhance and expand programs for people living with AIDS/HIV in the Grand River area by supporting the implementation of resource development and marketing plans to increase outreach, volunteer recruitment and fundraising. (An additional OTF grant of $63,800 has been approved for the Hamilton area.)

Human Powered Transportation Association
$17,500 over one year to develop and market human powered vehicle events throughout the year that will promote environmental awareness and attract tourists to the Brantford area.

Industry and Perseverance: A History of the City of Brantford c/o Brant Historical Society
$39,500 over two years to produce a CD-ROM prototype and an historical photo-album in order to increase awareness in the community about the history of Brantford.

Jerseyville-Langford Co-operative Nursery School Inc.
$2,600 over one year to establish a reading program for pre-school children from the rural communities of Jerseyville and Langford.

Kanata Native Cultural Society
$46,600 over one year to provide this Brantford area organization with human resource support and purchase computers for a touring and training native cultural program

Kids Can Fly, Early Child Development and Parenting Support
$70,000 over two years to continue “Kids Can Fly”, an initiative that supports parents and young children throughout Brantford and Brant County.

Kinsmen Club of Simcoe, Ontario
$50,000 to provide a new accessible playground in Simcoe for the health and enjoyment of all children in the Norfolk County community.

Langton and Area Minor Hockey Association
$3,000 over six months to offer hockey skills development clinics in the Langton area, provide online registration and establish computer linkages with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association.

Long Point Basin Land Trust
$52,300 over one year to relocate and preserve hundreds of large trees from a crowded area of the old St. Williams Nursery to the Turkey Point Picetum.

Managing Oriental Fruit Moths in Norfolk County Apple Orchards c/o Ontario Federation of Agriculture
$75,000 over one year to implement an area-wide pheromone mating disruption demonstration program for the Oriental fruit moth, a serious pest in Norfolk apple orchards. This will reduce the need for pesticides and improve air, water and soil quality.

Natural Connections c/o Wild Turkey Federation - Canada
$132,800 over 30 months to assist volunteers from all sectors in a cooperative effort to develop the community’s capacity to create and maintain sustainable natural wildlife landscapes in Brant and surrounding areas.

Norfolk County Agricultural Society
$80,000 over two years to enhance the marketing and tourism potential of the Norfolk County Fair located in Simcoe.

Optimist Club of Paris Inc.
$7,300 over one year to make this popular community facility in Paris more accessible and to purchase new tables, chairs and a gas barbeque.

Paris Co-Operative Preschool Inc.
$2,600 over one year to enhance computer based learning opportunities for children attending this rural preschool in Paris.

Paris Performers' Theatre
$16,100 to conduct a feasibility study as the first step towards converting the Paris Fairground's Heritage Building into a theatre and cultural centre.

Paris Soccer Club
$24,300 over one year to provide an irrigation system for a new soccer facility in Paris which will enhance recreational and competitive soccer opportunities for area residents of all ages.

Pauline Johnson Child Care Centre
$31,800 over three years to establish and operate a Young Parents Program to better support disadvantaged families at this downtown Brantford child care centre.

Reduced-Risk Advance Apple IPM Project Committee c/o Ontario Federation of Agriculture
$27,200 over nine months to pilot the use of reduced risk pesticides by apple farmers in Norfolk County. If successful, the project could convince other apple growers in the province to use lower risk methods of pest control.

Robert Troughton Memorial Chapter c/o Canadian Council of the Blind - Ontario Division
$41,300 over two years to develop social supports and recreational opportunities for people in Brantford and Brant County who are blind, deaf-blind or have a visual impairment.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29
$16,100 to purchase a new furnace and complete roof repairs at this community facility located in Paris.

Simcoe and District Youth Soccer Club Inc.
$40,000 over one year to prepare the grounds for a new soccer park in the outskirts of Simcoe that will have eight mini-fields, six full-size fields and an international size field with lights and bleachers.

Simcoe Christmas Panorama Inc.
$12,000 over one year to purchase energy efficient lights and help purchase a new display for the Simcoe Christmas Panorama (SCP) festival.

Simcoe Lawn Bowling Club c/o Ontario Lawn Bowls Association
$12,500 to replace equipment that will assist volunteers with the ongoing maintenance of the lawn bowling greens at the club.

Simcoe Unit 255 of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada
$6,500 to upgrade kitchen equipment at this well-used community facility in Simcoe.

St. George Co-operative Nursery School
$2,600 over one year to support parent volunteers in providing children in St. George with a child care environment that promotes life skills development and school readiness.

The Brantford Young Men and Young Women's Christian Association
$51,600 over five months for marketing and fundraising feasibility studies to support a business plan to determine the viability of a downtown Y in Brantford.

The Lower Grand River Land Trust Inc.
$75,000 over one year help restore an important 19th century building into a visitor centre for the Ruthven Park National Historic Site located in Cayuga.

The Royal Canadian Legion South Brant Branch 463 (Oakland)
$13,600 to repair the roof and siding of this well used community centre serving southern Brant County.

The Royal Canadian Legion Telephone City (Ont. No. 90) Branch
$8,900 over six months to install a new furnace and air conditioning system in this popular Brantford community facility that is used for many social and recreational activities by area residents.

The Royal Canadian Legion Waterford (Ont No 123) Branch
$15,000 over one year to develop a community park picnic area located in Waterford that will be used free of charge for family activities and community events.

The YWCA of Hamilton
$63,700 over one year to support the Cayuga Youth Centre in creating volunteer opportunities for Haldimand youth that will promote character development and strengthen the community.

Walpole Antique Farm Machinery Association
$21,000 to renovate a Jarvis area building that is used by the agricultural heritage association, including installing hydro, water, sewer and washroom facilities, and insulating and finishing the interior.

Woodland Cultural Centre
$25,000 over one year to undertake a comprehensive feasibility study to assess the need for developing a state-of-the-art Aboriginal Performing, Living and Theatre Arts Centre in Brant.

Woodview Children's Centre
$4,500 to promote and increase awareness of the Brant WrapAround initiative that supports families with children who have complex problems in the Brant area.
