$60,000 over two years to review, develop and implement a three-year fund development plan to enable the organization to expand programs to meet the needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

$10,000 over one year to purchase a lift in order to make the building accessible to people with physical disabilities.

Ayr-Paris Band
$10,000 over six months to purchase new instruments for the Junior Band for rural youth.

$25,000 over six months to purchase a portable spring floor in order to provide safe gymnastics programming to over 600 children and youth.

$60,000 over 18 months to design and support a fund development strategy to build a 40-bed emergency shelter that will help address the needs of homeless singles and families within the Cambridge community.

Canadian Mental Health Association, Wellington - Dufferin Branch
$146,600 over three years to provide education and information to people living in rural areas who are experiencing social isolation and have limited contact with the service system.

Centre for Research and Education in Human Services
$48,200 over one year, in partnership with the Social Planning Council of Cambridge & North Dumfries and the Sustainability Advisory Group, to develop and disseminate a practical Sustainability Resource Guide for non profit organizations.

Centre Wellington Minor Baseball Association Inc.
$5,000 over six months to purchase a portable pitching mound for hardball programs benefiting youth in Centre Wellington.

Chamber of Commerce of Kitchener and Waterloo
$24,700 over one year to market the Ontario International Tattoo – a unique combination of music, comedy, gymnastics, drama and military displays – and to upgrade its lighting and sound equipment.

Children's Aid Society of the City of Guelph and the County of Wellington
$50,000 over two years for the coordination of the Shelldale Community Centre, a multi-service agency comprised of 16 organizations serving the Guelph area.

Citizens Concerned with Crime Against Children & Youth
$75,000 over one year to support the organization as it undergoes an operational review.

Conflict Resolution Network Canada
$48,000 over one year to help the organization develop a fundraising strategy to establish a Canadian Centre for Peace in Waterloo Region. This multi-service building will be used to promote efforts in support of peace and conflict resolution.

Crime Stoppers of Wellington County Inc.
$93,000 over three years to launch two new initiatives: a highway sign program and a student Crime Stoppers multi-media challenge, and to assist the organization in building capacity and marketing its programs.

Ducks Unlimited Canada
$135,000 over three years for the coordination of the Luther Landscape Project, which will secure existing healthy wetlands, restore degraded wetlands and adjacent uplands, and improve wetland habitat stewardship in the Upper Grand River Watershed.

Dufferin Child and Family Services
$18,100 over one year to provide three workshops to over 250 parents, coaches and staff to enhance awareness of children's mental health issues, promoting a coordinated approach to services.

Elizabeth Fry Society of Kitchener-Waterloo
$118,200 over two years to enable the organization to carry out a review of how it delivers its programs in the community to enhance services and make them more viable.

Elora Cataract Trailway Association
$74,800 over one year to complete the development of a trail which will benefit local citizens and attract visitors to the area.

$165,000 over three years to strengthen this environmental organization’s strategic and management capabilities in order to enhance its sustainability and its effectiveness in promoting air and water quality.

Elora Festival Singers
$69,700 over three years to design and conduct a “Singers in School” workshop and concert series involving more than 700 youth throughout Wellington and Waterloo regions.

Epilepsy Waterloo-Wellington
$57,000 over two years to develop a strategic plan to address the increased need for supportive and preventative programs for people with epilepsy in the community, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs.

Family Services Cambridge and North Dumfries
$14,000 over ten months to operate and evaluate a youth pilot project drop-in centre and provide alternative recreation programs to youth in this rural community.

Family YMCA of Cambridge
$60,400 over one year to develop a youth-driven and system-wide model that will explore opportunities to take action on youth issues, enhance communication and coordination, and provide opportunities for partnerships to create new youth initiatives in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

Galt Horticultural Society
$12,000 over eight months to enable the Cambridge Sculpture Garden committee to develop a sculpture garden, which will be enjoyed by residents and attract thousands of tourists to the Waterloo Region.

$25,000 over one year to conduct a study to determine the feasibility of establishing the Guelph Visual Arts Community Centre, a multi-purpose venue for community arts and the broader public.

$38,000 over one year to launch a self-employment project that will provide information services and resources to rural youth interested in starting their own business.

Guelph Chamber Orchestra
$25,000 over three years to establish a new semi-professional community orchestra.

Guelph Concert Band
$12,000 over one year to expand the number of performances and increase attendance, attracting more tourists to the area..

Guelph International Resource Centre
$149,800 over three years for infrastructure development, production support, and equipment improvements that will increase the organization's capacity to be self-sustaining.

$23,900 over one year to expand the Learn to Row program for youth.

Guelph Synchronized Swim Club
$15,500 over one year to expand recreational and competitive programs for children and youth.

Guelph Wellington Association for Community Living
$72,200 over one year to help renovate the Fergus Coop, a shared space used by several local community organizations, so that it will be accessible for people with disabilities.

John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington
$214,800 over three years to a collaborative of youth service organizations to enhance program coordination, including educational workshops and one-to-one personal counselling for area youth.

Junior Achievement Of The Waterloo Region Inc.
$90,000 over three years to strengthen and expand a volunteer-based entrepreneur program that provides practical business and community leadership experiences to more than 12,000 young people.

Kitchener Sports Association
$66,400 over nine months for volunteer recruitment, development, and recognition for the 2002 Ontario Summer Games. Hosted by the Cities of Kitchener and Waterloo, the event will involve more than 400 volunteers and 3,500 athletes.

Kitchener Waterloo Philharmonic Choir
$75,000 over 15 months to partner with the Toronto International Choral Festival in order to present Franz Schmidt's “Das Buch Mit Sieben Siegeln.”

$37,000 over one year to support the growth of “Learn to Row” youth and recreational programs, which will enable more area residents to enjoy the sport of rowing.

$30,000 over three years to build the long term capacity of a community centre for more than 300 people in Waterloo Region living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Musica Viva (Guelph) o/a Guelph Chamber Choir
$15,000 over six months to enable the organization to develop a comprehensive fundraising and marketing plan to strengthen its capacity.

New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club
$28,500 over one year to purchase and install equipment in order to provide recreational opportunities to local seniors.

Orangeville Agricultural Society
$52,300 over one year to create livestock pens in order to increase the number of livestock shows and provide space for several community groups including Junior Farmers, Cattleman's Association and 4-H Clubs.

Owl Child Care Services of Ontario
$67,800 over 18 months to implement and assess an environmental home child safety audit and parent resource training initiative for more than 2,000 families in low-income areas of Kitchener and Waterloo.

$5,400 over one year to improve trails, including the installation of signage, gates and fencing.

$58,100 over one year to support the expansion of this well-established marching band that provides entertainment to more than 20,000 people in the Waterloo Region each year.

$75,000 over three months to help replace the roof and update the heating and cooling systems of the theatre, which is a multi-use and affordable venue for the performing arts and various community groups.

The Arthur and Community Senior Citizens' Club
$11,900 over one year to purchase equipment and make repairs to the building used by this club and other non-profit groups in the area to make it a better recreational space.

The Eden Mills and District Community Club Inc.
$71,200 over 18 months to renovate the club house to ensure continued access for community activities, sport events and artistic programs.

The Elora Curling Club
$50,500 over one year to renovate this community facility used by over 11 community organizations and programs. This will help the Club attract new members and provide more recreational opportunities for seniors and youth.

$115,900 over three years to strengthen the organization’s volunteer capacity and to enhance its long-term sustainability.

The Kohbukan Judo Club
$17,800 over one year to help purchase new equipment and to offer coaching clinics for children and youth in Wellington County.

$29,700 over one year to help complete renovations of a second hand clothing store that raises funds for 65 local charitable organizations.

$60,000 over four years to enhance the artistic quality of the festival, increase attendance and ensure its long-term sustainability.

$54,800 over 18 months to expand the signal of the community radio station in order to continue promoting local talent and the activities of local non-profit organizations.

Volunteer Action Centre
$180,000 over three years to build a sustainable volunteer leadership program in the Waterloo Region, which will enhance the skills, expertise and knowledge of more than 100 area volunteers in the non-profit sector.

$19,300 over one year for equipment, coaching clinics and startup costs for this newly established girls hockey association that will improve access to hockey for girls.

$108,600 over two years for the coordination and implementation of a community-based social marketing initiative to significantly improve air quality within Waterloo Region in partnership with the Citizen's Advisory Committee on Air Quality.

$170,000 over three years to strengthen the organization's capacity to coordinate and support regional arts and culture organizations within Waterloo Region.

$70,200 over one year to enable this community radio station to highlight local talent and promote the activities of non-profit organizations across southwestern Ontario.
