$10,000 over six months to replace the heating system of this community organization that serves Francophone seniors.

Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
$39,800 over two months to purchase equipment to carry out a research study on orphaned bear cubs released from the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.

Baysville Curling Club
$30,000 over one year to insulate and repair the roof of this small community's curling rink, helping the club reduce expenses and attract new members, especially among the people who retire to this area.

Blissymbolics Communication International
$23,200 over 13 months to equip the newly established Blissymbolics Learning Centre - Muskoka. The primary role of this not-for-profit centre will be to provide educational services to children and adults who are unable to speak due to profound physical disabilities.

Canadian Mental Health Association Nipissing Regional Branch
$19,000 over two years to develop a Survivors of Suicide program which will provide peer support for family and friends bereaved by suicide and reduce feelings of isolation.

Children's Aid Society for the districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound
$25,000 over one year to expand the Roots of Empathy pilot project, an independent program for school children designed to foster more understanding and empathetic attitudes, reduce bullying and promote safety throughout the district of Nipissing.

Community Living - South Muskoka
$32,400 over four years to provide a youth program in the Honey Harbour area.

Community Waterfront Friends (North Bay)
$70,000 over one year to acquire several exhibit components to be installed within the former North Bay CPR Station. The initiative will provide an interactive educational experience that will promote local heritage and attract tourists to the area.

Community YWCA of Muskoka
$59,400 over two years to enable the YWCA to raise its profile, strengthen its management, and build an effective sustainability plan.

Crime Stoppers of Kirkland Lake & Area Inc.
$13,000 over six months to purchase a portable display board and educational materials for use in schools and at community events, and to erect highway signs to increase public awareness of Crime Stoppers.

Discovery Routes Trails Organization
$44,500 over one year to study the establishment of the North Bay Escarpment Recreational Trail.

East Ferris Council No.6664 Service Club
$25,000 over one year to help renovate and expand the facilities at Corbeil Park, including making the outdoor rink safe and providing other year-round recreational activities.

EFAP/North -PAEF/Nord
$23,500 over one year to carry out renovations and purchase needed furnishings and equipment to make this counseling centre a more efficient and comfortable place for clients, families and community support groups.

Encore Club of Kirkland Lake
$15,000 over one year to replace windows in this community club that serves seniors in Kirkland Lake and the surrounding area.

Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka
$25,000 over one year to expand services to at-risk youth.

Fondation communautaire du Témiskaming
$10,300 over eight months to celebrate local seniors, including hosting a day of workshops, meeting with seniors at a retirement home in Embrun, and beautifying the new Centre de santé in Earlton.

Gravenhurst Seniors Club
$25,000 over one year for renovations and repairs to the building and to replace equipment so that this seniors organization will be able to continue to provide cultural, educational and recreational activities and services to the community.

Haileybury Heritage Museum
$13,000 over six months to carry out renovations to the newly acquired museum building, including installing an upgraded heating system, new garage doors and directional signage.

Huntsville & District Co-operative Nursery School
$22,500 over one year to help purchase toys, arts and crafts supplies, and playground equipment and to renovate an outdoor play area. This will enable the organization to serve more area children and enhance its revenue base.

Huntsville Skating Club
$5,000 over one year to purchase and install a jumping harness to assist figure skaters in their training.

Jeunesse en Marche du Timiskaming
$20,200 over two years to develop photography workshops for the summer camp program.

Jocko Point Lessees Association Inc.
$24,000 over one year to establish a playground for all children in the Jocko Point/Beaucage Road Community on Nipissing First Nation through the purchase and installation of playground equipment and site preparation.

Katrine Leisure Club
$13,000 over four months to renovate kitchen and washroom facilities in this seniors organization to make them accessible for people with disabilities.

Kirkland Lake Brass Band
$24,900 over one year to replace old instruments and music stands and to purchase new music, allowing this small grassroots band to attract new players, help other groups with fundraising and perform to wider audiences.

Kirkland Lake Curling Club
$25,000 over three months to purchase ice-making equipment.

Kirkland Lake Skating Club
$10,000 over two years to assist the organization in providing skating opportunities for physically and financially disadvantaged youth.

Knights of Columbus, Council 8940
$25,000 over six months to renovate the Bonfield Parish hall so that this well-used community facility will be safe and accessible.

Lake Nipissing Stewardship Council
$21,500 over 14 months to help restore and improve Lake Nipissing's ecosystem by completing the first phase of a Walleye and Sturgeon Habitat Restoration Project.

Little Claybelt Homesteaders Museum
$15,700 over six months to make the exhibits and outdoor displays of Little Claybelt Homesteaders Museum accessible to people with disabilities by landscaping the path and making the entrance wheelchair accessible.

MacTier-Foot's Bay United Church
$40,000 over one year to complete renovations to the lower level of the church which is used for community functions by residents of the town of MacTier.

Mattawa & Area Forestry Committee for Economic Development
$14,000 over four months to develop and promote a Highway Driving, Cycling and Walking tour. The initiative will include signs, billboards, a map, and a bilingual brochure that highlights the history and attractions of the area. It is expected to enhance local tourism.

Mattawa & District Chamber of Commerce
$18,900 over one year to erect ten wooden statues commemorating local and Canadian heritage. Plaques and guidebooks will tell the stories. The initiative will attract tourists to the area.

Mattawa and Area Snowmobile Club
$33,000 over two years to strengthen the operational effectiveness of the club, enhance promotional activities, and increase membership.

Muskoka Lakes Museum
$24,000 over one year to complete renovations that include a new pathway and changes to the interior that will make the museum accessible for people with disabilities.

Muskoka Steamship and Historical Society
$25,000 over one year to develop a high quality historical video of the steamship era in Muskoka. Distributed to community groups and broadcast on television, the video will help recruit volunteers and raise the community’s appreciation for its history.

Near North Palliative Care Network (Nipissing/Parry Sound)
$50,000 over two years to enhance volunteer recruitment, training and evaluation to better enable the organization to serve the needs of clients and bereaved families.

North Bay and District Big Brothers Association Incorporated
$25,000 over one year to help the Big Brothers raise its public profile in order to better serve the community.

North Bay Area Arts Council
$20,000 over two years for operational support to the North Bay Area Arts Council so that it will be able to implement a strategic revitalization plan aimed at providing more economic opportunities to local artists.

North Bay Highland Dance Association
$24,400 over four months to hold "Celtfest Callander," an annual festival that celebrates Scottish/Celtic art and tradition through music, dance, and traditional competitions. An enhanced marketing initiative is expected to attract more tourists than ever to the event.

North Bay Nordic Ski Club
$20,000 over six months to support the “Light up the Trails” project by installing additional poles and lights. The initiative will enable ski teams to practice after school and families to ski after work.

Parry Sound Station Gallery
$18,500 over two years to develop and market an art gallery in a historically significant railway station, which will attract tourists to the area.

Pointe au Baril Lions Club
$25,000 over six months to renovate the Pointe au Baril playground by replacing equipment, fencing in the park area and installing park benches and picnic tables for the enjoyment of the whole community.

Resource Centre For Independent Living (RISE)
$18,400 over one year to help the organization attract more volunteers and enhance volunteer training by developing a volunteer recruitment program, a volunteer training manual and a quarterly newsletter. People with disabilities in Parry Sound and Muskoka, their families and the community will benefit.

Rockcut Shooting Club
$25,000 over one year to remodel the washrooms and build walkways and an entrance ramp in order to make the clubhouse fully accessible and barrier free.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #445
$11,300 over three months to level and resurface the parking lot, making it safer for seniors and all users of this busy community hall.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 394 (Dunchurch)
$12,000 over three months to upgrade the furnace and install air conditioning in this popular community facility.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 453 (Powassan)
$9,000 over one year to replace the heating and ventilation system and improve the insulation of this well-used community facility.

South River Curling Club
$41,800 over six months to carry out renovations that will improve ice conditions.

South River Friendly Circle Senior Citizens
$7,600 over one year to install natural gas space heaters and a gas fireplace as well as wiring for a generator to provide a safe, warm shelter to seniors and all local residents in cases of emergencies and power outages.

Sundridge Horticultural Society
$25,000 over one year to install benches,planters, lights, trash receptacles and picnic tables.

The Bonfield & District Lions Club
$20,000 over one year to renovate the building entrance and washrooms to make them wheelchair accessible.

The Canadian Ecology Centre
$40,000 over one year to enable this environmental organization located near Rutherglen and Mattawa to strengthen its educational programs. They will include initiatives with teachers and students that use the outdoors as a learning experience.

The Canadian Hearing Society
$25,000 over two years to provide rehabilitation, training and other services to seniors who have a hearing loss.

The Friends ...supporting those with Long Term Health Care Needs
$19,000 over one year to conduct a needs survey and community focus groups to examine transportation and housing issues faced by individuals with physical disabilities in the Districts of Parry Sound & Muskoka.

The Horne Granite Curling Club
$20,000 over one year to install new roofing on the clubhouse.

The North Bay Literacy Council
$35,000 over two years for operating support that will enable the Council to increase awareness of literacy training and offer additional programs to improve literacy in North Bay.

The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 225
$17,000 over one year to purchase heating and air conditioning units.

Timiskaming Palliative Care Network
$56,000 over three years to strengthen the organization’s capacity to respond to community needs by enabling it to recruit and develop volunteer outreach teams in North, South and Central Timiskaming.

Tri Town and District Association for Community Living
$17,500 over two years to implement the S.A.R.A.H. (Survivors Are Resilient Adults Healing) program.

Tri Town Foundation
$25,000 over two years to build the capacity of this foundation by supporting an expansion in services, outreach and fundraising activities, the organization of Professional Advisors' Information Sessions and the creation of a Fund Development database.

West Parry Sound District Museum
$25,000 over one year to introduce year-round programming.

Women's Own Resource Centre
$25,000 over one year to establish and develop “Business WISE Networks,” which will support and provide educational information to women in rural home-based businesses.
