$250,000 over five years to implement a unique adoption recruitment project that will identify adoptive families able to provide permanent homes for eligible special needs foster children.

Ajax Association for Community Living
$225,000 over three years to support Dufferin Association for Community Living in carrying out an outreach and education pilot initiative directed at reaching out to aging parents who have children with disabilities who are themselves growing older.

Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada inc.
$60,000 over 9 months toward Radio Jeunesse. Seventy youth from Canada and abroad will receive training in Ontario. They will then produce a 24-hour-a-day broadcast that will be aired throughout the Fourth Francophone Games in Ottawa from June 24 to July 24, 2001.

Alzheimer Society of Ontario
$569,800 over three years to implement "Ensuring Quality Service Delivery," in every chapter across the province. This will help ensure consistent, accessible, appropriate, and responsive service to meet the needs of over 100,000 Ontarians affected by Alzheimer Disease and their families.

Artist Run Centres and Collectives of Ontario
$25,000 to develop and facilitate a three-day professional development conference in North Bay for artists, artist collectives and artist run centres.

$278,400 over three years to support the "Technology Initiatives Program" which works to ensure that emerging communication technologies are accessible to those with hearing disabilities.

Canadian Injured Workers Alliance
$60,000 over six months to train injured workers, including young injured workers and their families, on how to make presentations and organize workshops across Ontario that aim to reduce and prevent workplace injury.

Canadian Institute of Child Health
$296,800 over two years to design and implement a youth-led Environmental Health Audit process to build healthier communities in five pilot test sites for at least 15 communities in Ontario.

Canadian Metis Council
$130,000 over three years as requested to gather and record Metis Elders' stories from across Ontario. The stories will be collectively published in both book and video format.

Canadian Society for Independent Radio Production
$106,900 over three years to help establish the "Creative Radio Initiative," a program of skills workshops, seminars, and resource materials for radio volunteers in communities throughout Ontario.

Canadian Youth Business Foundation

$365,000 over three years to test and evaluate a model for providing staff resources to grassroots volunteer networks and support the development of 10 District Councils.

$10,000 over six months to train and certify community leaders who will introduce an inclusive self-defense/street awareness program designed specifically for persons with a developmental disability.

Elmer Iseler Singers
$53,200 over two years to offer workshops and concert-sharing opportunities to amateur choirs in 10 Northern communities and to assist the Elmer Iseler Singers in improving their internet communications.

Fédération des femmes canadiennes-françaises de l'Ontario
$16,000 over four months to support five workshops intended to further the development of solutions to poverty and violence against women. The workshops will be given at a provincial conference in Ottawa on October 13 and 14, 2000.

Fondation internationale PACE 2000
$48,300 over one year to enable the Inter-generations Virtual Village to continue its operations, develop new programs and expand its network and activities by developing pilot projects in Toronto and the Windsor Essex region.

Football Ontario
$21,600 to offer the Punt-Pass-Kick program to 1,000 children (ages 8 to 13) in 22 communities. The program involves weekend games, regional games, semi-finals and a final competition held in Vanier, Ontario during the Vanier Cup.

$75,000 over three years to develop and offer workshops in leadership development in 10 districts throughout Ontario.

National Ovarian Cancer Association
$171,300 over three years to provide outreach and support to women with ovarian cancer and their families, and to provide information about ovarian cancer to the general public.

National Youth In Care Network
$25,000 over one year for 20 young people in the child welfare system to develop and deliver a model public speaking program to 300 student social workers in order to sensitize social workers to their needs.

National Youth Orchestra of Canada
$250,000 over five years to assist this youth orchestra tour and deliver concerts in Ontario.

Nova Vita Women's Services
$165,000 over three years to develop "The Daisy Campaign," a province-wide domestic violence and shelter awareness campaign. The campaign, which uses the daisy as a symbol of hope, also raises funds to support programs and services.

Ojibwe Cultural Foundation
$24,000 over six months for a feasibility study and test marketing of an interactive, multigenerational program to showcase and share Anishnaabe culture, crafts, food, art, language, songs and stories unique to 15 First Nations communities in the Robinson Huron Treaty area.

Ojibwe Cultural Foundation
$75,000 over 18 months to develop and deliver Arts and Culture workshops to First Nations communities in the Robinson-Huron Treaty area.

Ontario 4-H Council
$378,000 over three years to enhance programs, increase membership, develop partnerships, and broaden rural-urban connections.

Ontario Aboriginal Sport Circle
$595,000 over four years to support outreach, leadership training, program and resource development, partnership building, and program delivery in Aboriginal communities across Ontario.

Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association
$220,500 over three years to promote the sport of amateur wrestling by organizing a Gold Medalist tour, developing a Mentoring Series, and distributing manuals and videotapes.

Ontario Association for Community Living (Partnership Program)
$502,900 over 30 months to conduct community action forums and create local consumer learning groups in order to increase individual and community action to build inclusive communities.

Ontario Audio Library Service Inc.
$127,300 over 30 months to develop an implementation plan to enable Ontario students with reading disabilities to access digital books. A test pilot will include acquiring the necessary equipment and training for volunteers and staff to produce digital talking books.

$650,000 over three years to establish the Management Services Network for community health organizations. The Network will provide administrative tools, resources and services to address the individual business needs of 360 agencies.

Ontario Crafts Council
$40,000 over one year to expand the web site, organize touring exhibits, and hold special seminars and conferences throughout the province.

Ontario Cultural Society of the Deaf
$304,000 over three years to develop an American Sign Language instructor training program and to train 150 members of the Deaf community to deliver instruction to families and the wider community.

Ontario Environment Network
$161,000 over three years to help develop regional networks and activities that will support information sharing and stimulate environmental efforts across Ontario.

Ontario Farm Women's Network
$192,500 over three years to launch "The Farm Line."- a 1-800 telephone peer support counseling and referral service to assist farmers and their families in dealing with farm stress.

Ontario Fitness Council (OFC)
$200,000 over two years to produce a business plan to guide the organization in developing resources and providing training for fitness instructors working in the not-for-profit sector throughout Ontario.

Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition (OHCC)
$522,000 over five years to support continued resource development and build community capacity by using the healthy community model in 160 communities across Ontario.

Ontario Lacrosse Association
$164,000 over four years to provide training to new members, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers, and to support a Community Outreach initiative to increase access of Aboriginal and Francophone communities to training.

Ontario Ladies' Golf Association (OLGA)
$295,500 over four years to support the amalgamation of the Ontario Ladies Golf Association and the Ontario Golf Association programs designed to increase the participation in the sport of golf. Programs will focus on Junior development.

Ontario Massed Legion Pipes and Drums Band
$6,000 over one year to develop a sustainable operating structure and to build a communications strategy to increase membership and performance activities.

Ontario Museum Association
$150,000 over three years to develop "Museum Month" as a capacity-building tool for the Ontario Museum Association and its members.

Ontario Native Literacy Coalition (ONLC)
$20,000 over six months to support the first ever National Aboriginal Literacy Gathering. Over 160 practitioners, learners and Aboriginal leaders will participate. Funding will support a travel subsidy for Ontario participants from non-profit organizations.

Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association
$95,000 over five years to offer a safe canoeing program throughout Ontario to provincial park users, first-time paddlers in municipal settings, and groups who do not traditionally participate in canoeing.

Ontario Rugby Union (Rugby Ontario)
$188,700 over four years to increase regional participation and support development programs across the province, which are intended to substantially increase the number of junior participants.

Ontario Special Olympics Inc.
$117,600 over 18 months to build partnerships, and develop action plans and outreach strategies to enable Aboriginal youth, youth in Northern communities, and urban youth from diverse cultures, to participate in the events.

$142,000 over four years to support the "Fun in Athletics" program. FIA bridges the gap between children's games and traditional athletics by taking a supportive team approach to help youngsters develop fundamental skills and coordination.

$325,000 over two years to roll out "Kids have StressToo,' a preventative parent education program designed to produce children resilient to stress.

$94,000 over four years to make "Waste Reduction Week" an effective and sustainable initiative that will encourage municipalities, schools, citizens, businesses and industries to intensify waste reduction efforts.

$304,000 over two years to establish a plan for long term sustainability and to support innovative policy development that will address poverty and homelessness.

$148,400 over two years to offer 140 Train-the-Trainer Workshops to agencies in Ontario serving professionals who were educated outside Canada, to hold discussion groups for agencies and clients, and provide online mentoring.

Sky Works Charitable Foundation
$29,900 over one year to distribute in seven regions of the province "How Can We Love You," a documentary about women living with breast cancer. Developed with members of the play "Handle with Care", this film will be used to educate communities.

Smile Company- Theatrical Productions
$125,000 over five years to provide live theatre productions to seniors living in Northern Ontario and the Niagara peninsula.

$225,000 over three years toward a community-wide initiative, called "Une communauté qui se prend en main, " which is aimed at reducing delinquency in three targeted communities: Hawkesbury, Sudbury and Toronto.

$100,000 over seven months to expand its education and audience development activities for young people across the province.

$79,300 over three years to engage volunteers with a range of knowledge and expertise to work toward the development of blight resistant strains of the threatened tree species, the American chestnut.

The Canadian Community Economic Development Network
$131,000 over four years to support capacity-building activities in Ontario and an integrated service package to be made available to Ontario communities that do not currently have access to community economic development supports.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Greater Ontario Branch
$204,000 over five years toward "The Peer Support Telephone Outreach Program," which will offer emotional support by telephone for patients and families living with kidney disease throughout Ontario.

The Lifesaving Society
$100,000 over one year to support a system to produce certified coaches and officials which will provide tangible benefits throughout Ontario in the areas of safety and personal well-being.

The National Broadcast Reading Service, Inc.
$431,200 over three years to increase access of Ontarians with vision impairments to print media and video entertainment by promoting awareness and usage of VoicePrint and AudioVision.

The Student Life Education Company Inc.
$217,000 over three years to provide resources to enable students to make healthy decisions related to the use of alcohol and to help educational institutions deal with students involved in under-age drinking.

Tourette Syndrome Association of Ontario
$59,300 over three years to supporting ongoing operations and sustainability planning.

Trauma Prevention Council of Central West Ontario
$482,400 over four years to develop a prevention model called "Seniors in Jeopardy!," an initiative that will reduce the incidence of accidental injury resulting from falls. At least 50,000 seniors living in their homes in central and western Ontario will benefit.

Union culturelle des Franco-Ontariennes
$25,000 over 15 months to support ninety workshops, a touring exhibition and newsletter focused on preserving and illustrating traditional crafts.

United Senior Citizens of Ontario Inc.
$25,000 over one year for equipment that will enable seniors across Ontario to share poetry, experiences, and information through their publications.

United Way/Centraide Ottawa-Carleton
$75,000 over one year to research, examine, identify, prioritise and search out those community 'investment' opportunities which will optimize the strengths of local United Ways/Centraides and their existing relationships with business, govt and labour.

Voice for Hearing Impaired Children
$200,000 over three years to expand operations across the province in order to better inform families of children with hearing impairments of their educational and communication options.

Waterfront Regeneration Trust
$150,000 over two years to work with communities, government, business, and industry in many parts of Ontario, to develop action plans for waterfront regeneration.

Wegener's Granulomatosis Support Group of Canada
$3,500 over one year to increase referrals of Wegener's Granulomatosis patients to this support group. Access to knowledge and support will increase patients' well being.
