$25,000 over one year to repair the foundation of the Rydal Bank Community Hall in order to preserve the structure of the building, which is a focal point for community life.

$75,000 over one year for an acoustic shell to improve the sound quality at the Centre and bring it up to current theatrical audio standards.

Silverwater Recreation Centre Inc.
$2,400 over one year to enhance the safety of seniors and others using the recreation centre through renovations to the stairs leading to the stage and the purchase of new chairs to replace worn benches.

Soo Arena Association
$4,500 over one month to purchase and install an ice rink temperature controller to reduce utility costs and ensure the continued financial viability of the arena.

Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club
$55,000 over three years to replace grooming and timing equipment, renovate the clubhouse and enhance coaching development and youth programs.

$50,000 over two years to support the operation of a minor baseball program for children and youth (ages 7 to 20) in Sault Ste. Marie.

$8,300 over three months to help produce and market a CD entitled "A Christmas Legacy," recorded from the youth group's 1999 Christmas concert.
